Oh, the Places You've Gone!
Original (Oh, the Places You'll Go!) by Dr. Seuss Adaptation by Bridget
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're in a great place!
You're 50 today!
You have books on your boat.
Of that we'll take note.
Port or starboard, you know how to float.
You're up there in age.
And you know what we know.
That YOU are the gal who's got get up and go.
You cruise around the oceans.
Look 'em over with care.
About all of them you say, "I'll certainly go there."
With a boat full of books and Kelly in your fleet,
Your many experiences certainly are neat.
There are so many sights you can see.
In that case, of course, you head straight to the sea.
It's opener there
In the wide open air.
And though you are aged,
You go there with flair.
Over there things can happen and frequently do
But when you are old you don't have a clue.
And when things start to happen, you don't worry or stew.
You just go right along. like most old folks do.
Oh, the Places you've gone!
Yours in overlooking that 'up there in age' line in awarding this prize,
Mary
