#643 Lightweight Backpacking by Rob and Donna

Our friends packed the house tonight!

Rob and Donna volunteered to give an explorer seminar on lightweight backpacking techniques and the word got out. After a full day of lectures, our favorite backpackers spoke at 8:45 PM to a standing-room-only crowd.

These long-distance hikers walked 2,663 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail in 2005.  (See their trail journal here). They shared many tips for carrying minimal weight and answered questions long after the presentation ended.

Here they are a couple weeks ago in Gdansk on one of their slightly shorter hikes.
Yours in admiration,
Mary
